City of Abilene – Grimes WTP Improvements Contract No. 2 – Clarifier and Backwash Tank Rehabilitation

Project Description

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held in Water Utilities Conference Room on the 1st floor of City Hall, 555 Walnut St., Abilene, Texas 79601 at 2:15 PM on June 5, 2024, to discuss the scope of the project and answer any questions prospective bidders may have concerning specifics of the project. The Contractor or their designated representative may attend.

PROJECT INCLUDES:           The recoat of the east and west clarifiers, the overcoat of steel weir troughs in both clarifiers, the interior recoat/exterior overcoat of a 150,000 gallon elevated backwash tank, and structural repairs for the backwash tank.

ESTIMATED COST:                $600,000

BID BOND:                             No bid bond required.

PERFORMANCE/PAYMENT BOND: 100%

FUNDING AGENCY:              City of Abilene

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS must be ordered online at www.jacobmartin.com.  Orders for CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may include hard copies for pick up, mail out or digital download via www.jacobmartin.com.  Upon verification of online payment, hard copies may be picked up at Jacob & Martin, LLC., located at 3465 Curry Lane, Abilene, TX 79606.  Cost for hard copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be $100.00.  Cost for digital download of CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be $0.00.  Contractors must purchase a set of CONTRACT DOCUMENTS to be considered a registered plan holder eligible to bid the project.
