Project Description

 

PROJECT INCLUDES:

Wells - base bid includes construction of 1 new drinking water well to TCEQ standards (drilling well, casing, pump, concrete seal block, piping, valves, & electrical).  Alternate bids will be taken for 2 additional wells.

Waterline - base bid includes approximately 4900 LF of 12" through 6" C900 PVC water line, connections, bore and encasement, and incidentals.  Alternate bids will be taken for additional water line.

 

ESTIMATED COST:

Well Contract = $248,000

Alternate #1 and #2 for the wells are $248,000 each

Waterline Contract = $532,000

Alternate #1 and #2 for the waterline will be $136,000 and $133,000.

 

BID BOND:                             100%

 

PERFORMANCE/PAYMENT BOND: 100%

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS must be ordered online at www.jacobmartin.com.  Orders for CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may include hard copies for pick up, mail out or digital download via www.jacobmartin.com.  Upon verification of online payment, hard copies may be picked up at Jacob & Martin, LLC., located at 3465 Curry Lane, Abilene, TX 79606.  Cost for hard copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be $100.00.  Cost for digital download of CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be $0.00.  Contractors must purchase a set of CONTRACT DOCUMENTS to be considered a registered plan holder eligible to bid the project.

Texas Water and Soil Company, Inc. Connor Hoelscher Can we get some clarity for the new water wells? Can we get some clarity on these items? 1. Open hole logs (usually requested) 2. Caliper log (Usually required for PWS/TCEQ) 3. 6 inch casing is definitely not recommended (8" is best) 4. Recommend a 2" gravel feed tube I would push back on these items 1. Hole size: 14.75", not 12" 2. Use less screened pipe (start below the static water level and if thats not possible less screen is still recomended. They have a lot of iron bacteria issues from exposed screens in the area already) 3. Bring gravel 10' above the top of the screens, preferably 20' above 4. Sieve analysis for gravel and screen size selection 5. Pump gravel into place not free fall into place
